General Assembly
The GWZ General Assembly comprises bona fide members and convenes triennially in December. As the organization’s supreme governing authority, its exclusive powers include: electing the Board of Officers; amending the constitution; appointing the Board of Trustees; ratifying committee chairperson appointments; and exercising disciplinary authority over members.
GWZ Board of Trustees
NAMES: Dr Ntombi Mudenda; Mrs Patricia Mtonga-Mukumbutu; and Mrs. Victoria C. N. Silutongwe. This unit comprises three (3) exceptional veteran members of GWZ who have consistently served the organization. They are part of the key custodians of GWZ assets and institutional legacy. They are also consulted to help provide high-level governance and risk management strategies whenever necessary. A key ceremonial role includes facilitating smooth leadership transitions by ushering in newly elected officers through formal swearing-in ceremonies.
Board Of Officers
The Board of Officers is elected at the General Assembly and has a three-year term. This hands-on board of executive leadership translates strategic visions into action by management of budgets, oversees staff employment, issues membership certificates, appointment letters, awards and authorises contractual agreements on behalf of the organization. The officers also ensure ground-level execution of initiatives while maintaining responsiveness to stakeholder needs through daily decision-making.
Standing GWZ Committees
These are the backbone of GWZ's sustained impact, serving as permanent working groups that specialise in core areas. They are chaired by experts who drive long-term initiatives, develop policies and execute strategic projects to advance GWZ's mission. By focusing on continuous improvement in their respective domains, their teams ensure organisational consistency and transform vision into tangible outcomes.
